Due to her passion for politics, Ms. Martinez relocated to Washington DC during the pandemic. She covered the 2024 presidential election and the second term of the Trump presidency.
As a resident of Capitol Hill, Ms. Martinez is active in her community. She is involved in Ward 6 organizations, including the Free DC movement. In 2022, she became a CFSA certified resource parent, offering a safe home to the district’s children who are in foster care.
